This rug is ideal for dark coloured horses that absorb the heat, as it will also prevent the sun from bleaching the coat of a dark horse. Made from a durable polycotton outer, the Kool Coat allows air to circulate and keeps the horse cool.

Sat 28th August 2010: We have 2 airstream which are brilliant for sweetich although not keen on single belly strap mesh all torn and very tatty and neck straps all broken very quickly!! (horse is a vandal) but sweetich no sign this year. We have koolcoat cotton combo on another skewbald and this is fab and keeps him from getting sunburnt as well as a fly sheet. ...love them both; By Carole Webb

Sat 9th February 2008: My horse gets sarcoids for which he has had to have expensive and painful veterinary treatment most of his life. I noticed the sarcoids grew when the sun was hot so bought a Koolcoat in a sale. The persistent sarcoid on his sheath has remained dormant ever since and no more have appeared. He has now gone 3 summers without treatment. I now have 3 Koolcoats and swear by them. They also keep him cool and happy so I dont need to bring him in when it is hot. With his dark sun and fly protective hood he looks like a member of the Klu Klux Klan but who cares!; By Pat Dexter
