Flocked saddles use the old style wool flocking, whereas Cair saddles have air panels. Flocked saddles will need regular re-flocking, whilst Cair saddles do not. Both are adjustable to fit the horse. Cair saddles are designed to spread the weight of the rider more evenly across the horse's back.

The Wintec 500 saddle uses the Easy Change gullet system, so by buying the right gullet plate, the width of the saddle is adjustable right up to the Extra Wide. For really broad, flat backed horses there is the Wintec Wide (currently only available in GP/AP style) which is even wider than the Extra Wide fitting on the regular gullet system.
There is a small amount of flocking in between the air panel and the seat. Over time this will flatten making the panels seem a little softer. This flocking can easily be re newed by your local saddler or organising it to go back to to Wintec, of course there maybe costs associated with this.
