A fly sheet or fly rug is a lightweight fine mesh rug that will offer protection and comfort to horses at grass during the summer. Some fly rugs have a belly flap that has fastenings either side of the rug to offer maximum protection to the horses belly. Also fly sheets can act as a barrier to sunburn, on horses that have sensitive pale skin.
