Boy heartbroken after rocking horse theft

Cruel thieves have left three-year-old Joshua Marriott heartbroken after stealing his beloved rocking horse, Hattie, in the run up to Christmas.

Joshua and Hattie are the stars of the EquestrianClearance.com adverts and the team at the Sowerby Bridge-based business have launched a nationwide search for the safe return of the dapple grey worth £1,500.joshua.jpg

A £200 reward has been offered for information leading to the return of Hattie who has a special place in the heart of not only Joshua but also many members of the team.

Hattie was taken from the front entrance at the EquestrianClearance.com premises near Halifax, where she welcomes all visitors.

She is also the first point of call when Joshua visits to see his mum Charlotte Farmer or grandma Lorraine Meadowcroft, owner and founder of EquestrianClearance.com

Joshua’s mum Charlotte said: “We came into work on the Thursday and noticed Hattie had gone. At first we didn’t really think anything about it but as the day went by we asked the team if anyone had moved her and then realised someone must have taken her.”

Added Lorraine: “To think someone has just walked in to the front entrance hall and taken Hattie is actually quite upsetting. Joshua loves sitting on her for the photo-shoots and she is a really important part of his life, it is just terrible.

“Hattie is quite large so it would definitely have taken two strong people to carry her out.  We also have a lot of high resolution images of Hattie so can easily identify her.”

Anyone with information should contact Lorraine at EquestrianClearance.com on 07000 378378.
