The Kimblewick is very similar to a pelham in its action with the use of a curb, but milder as it has no shank. The very low port of the kimblewick gives space for the tongue, with no collapse on the bars and no real palate pressure.

hi i am in need of you measuring the bar (circumference) in mm of the 5.5 ported uxeter kimblewick with tape, i cant find the right width for my horse could you measure the thickest part of the bar and get back to me, i do have a kkimblewick but its far to thick and the port is too high, yours looks a lot finer thankyou :)

The bit measures approximately 40mm in circumference at the widest part of the bar.

Is the port on the cambridge higher than the ported utexer? What size ports are they on a 5"?

They both have the same size port - 2cm.
