FULMER SNAFFLE
The fulmer bit is a variation of the full cheek, it has the same advantage of been able to turn without pulling the bit through the mouth. The only difference is it has loose rings which makes the bit less fixed.
The jointed bit applies the pressure on the tongue and the bars and has a nutcracker action where as the french link has two joints allowing the pressure to be dispersed over the tongue and bars.
TOM THUMB
Similar to the full cheek, (same actions and uses) except the cheeks are flat and spoon-like instead of round and cylindrical. The cheeks will tend to be shorter too.
